ABSTRACT

Students wishing to study more demanding disciplines are required to pass an entrance examination before entering the university in Czech Republic. The goal of this study is finding, by statistical analysis of the data available at the time of entrance examination, parameters that predict the student's ability to finish his/her studies successfully. Following predictors were found: mean value of grades from physics during four years study at high school, grade from mathematics from the 3rd year of the high school and grade from physics from the 2nd year of the high school.
