ABSTRACT

This paper describes the concept of using importance information of objects in order to enable a resource-adaptive visualization of interactive three-dimensional maps in a distributed environment. The map will be automatically created from a spatial database taking into account the rendering capabilities of the client, the available bandwidth and the users interest.
