ABSTRACT

This proposal is an extension/generalization to ALIWG LI49: "Provide access values pointing to static objects". It incorporates two new features to Ada [Ada83]: Persistent objects and safe handling of access type objects designating any declared object or component thereof, including static objects (not only objects in a collection, created by the system allocator). All the suggested extensions to Ada are upward compatible.
