ABSTRACT

It is becoming apparent that communication via satellite links will play an increasing role in data networks. The challenge is to integrate this new communications option into an existing land-based network such that users can realize its full benefits. This paper discusses that solutions for the SL-10* Packet Network. The design criteria and performance objectives are also examined.
