ABSTRACT

In the April 1992 issue of the SIGCHI Bulletin we presented a short article by Robert Campbell on the role of scenarios in HCI (Campbell, 1992). Robert presented a set of distinctions for major meanings of the term "scenario" based on different uses that such descriptions might have (i.e., illustrations of use, sample tasks for usability testing, sample tasks to guide design, and test cases for HCI theory). As an experiment, we asked for comments on this article from SIGCHI readers, and specifically asked for comments from a number of overseas members.
