ABSTRACT

In this demonstration paper, we present an overview of WiPal and WScout, two tools to handle IEEE 802.11 packet traces. WiPal embeds several programs to manipulate IEEE 802.11 packet traces, while WScout is a visualizing program designed for large packet traces. WiPal includes an IEEE 802.11 trace merger and tool for obtaining a number of statistics on the trace under analysis. WScout's main characteristic is its ability to open traces that are much larger than the ones handled by existing visualization tools.
