ABSTRACT

This talk will address where e-government is likely to head in the next four years, focusing primarily on the US but also touching on international comparisons. It will address areas including government use of Web 2.0/3.0, mass collaboration, digital democracy, web-based and distributed computing models, and the balancing of the benefits that these steps bring with risks to security and privacy. The talk will point to recommendations for government activity, and area for future research.
