A low-cost PIC unit for teaching computer hardware fundamentals to undergraduates

ABSTRACT

This paper describes a low-cost PIC16F84-based system suitable for classroom demonstrations and laboratory projects in undergraduate computer hardware courses. The effectiveness of this system as an aid to student learning and comprehension is also discussed.
