An evolving power saving model for monitoring sensor networks using cellular automata

ABSTRACT

In this paper, we present a method which uses a genetic algorithm to identify the best cellular automata to govern the time a given node is on/off, ultimately minimizing the power consumption, or any other quantifiable metric, of the device.
