ABSTRACT
Novice Over-Seventy Home-System Users (NOSHSU) face many obstacles in using and maintaining home-based systems and require strategies for troubleshooting and dealing with technological problems. This paper examines how some of the challenges encountered by NOSHSU might be alleviated by having information technology professionals who are experienced in strategies to facilitate technological change, and who are of a similar age, articulate technical concepts employing age accessible metaphors.
