ABSTRACT
"Technology transaction" is the means of obtaining technologies for competition in small and intermediate size businesses. The difficulty of "technology transaction" issues has been much discussed in the transaction motivation and negotiation areas, but the search stage of technology transaction is still rarely studied in recent years. Moreover, the related methodologies are not suitable for adaption to a complexity study as a form of technology transaction. This research builds a simulation model to expose the problem of searching for technology by case study dates and using complexity software. The findings of this study are that technology searching truly displays the characteristics of a "complexity adaption system". Second, the best efficiency for searching for technology occurs when technological knowledge is concurrently increasing in an existing area and diversifying into new fields. Third, networks of technology transaction should be analyzet from three perspectives at once: concentration, connection, and cluster.
